Where I work

I am based in Orpington, so the towns below are all a short drive rather than a trek across London. Each has its own page with what I most often find in the houses there. I also cover Swanley and Dartford.

Common questions

Which areas do you cover?

Bromley, Orpington, Beckenham, Sidcup, West Wickham, Chislehurst, Petts Wood, Swanley, Dartford. If you are just outside, ask anyway. It is usually a yes.

What does a breakdown cost?

A flat rate of £110 for the first hour, £90 per hour thereafter excluding parts. Most breakdowns can be fixed within the first hour. However, where parts and/or additional time is required, this will be discussed before work commences.

Are you Gas Safe registered?

Yes. Every engineer working on gas in this country has to be, and you are entitled to ask to see the card before anyone touches your boiler. Ask me. Ask anyone.

Why do some customers ask for a female engineer?

Some people would rather not have a stranger in the house and find a woman easier to have there, particularly if they are on their own or it is a rented flat. It is a common enough request that it is worth saying plainly: it is not a problem, and you do not have to explain why.
